Beyond Mother's Day: The Urgent Need for Paid Family Leave in the US

This Mother's Day, join me in advocating for paid family leave. It is the gift mothers and their families will truly value. 👪

👉🏻 86% of Americans have no paid leave available.

👉🏻 1 in 4 women in the US go back to work less than 2 weeks after giving birth.

👉🏻 The U.S. is the only industrialized country without a national paid family leave policy.

👉🏻 Millions aren't able to care for a newborn child during the precious first months of life, be there during a dying parent's last days, or even care for themselves during an unexpected illness because we lack a national paid family and medical leave policy.

👉🏻 Paid family leave includes everyone, across diverse generational, gender, racial, and income backgrounds.

👉🏻 It can also help businesses reduce costly employee turnover and alleviate the cost of wage replacement through affordable insurance.

Being there and providing for those you love shouldn't be negotiable.
