Never Too Late to Bloom: Inspiration for Reigniting Your Dreams After 50

Join me in celebrating Joni Mitchell! 🎉

She's a living embodiment of 'it's never too late' to pursue your dreams!

🎵 After suffering an aneurysm in 2015, she sang at the Newport Folk Festival and went on to headline her own show in 2022 (with a 3-hour set)

🎵 She sang at the Grammys for the first time this week - 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝟴𝟬!

🎵 And she's not done. She's headlining two shows at the Hollywood Bowl this coming October!

The ability to achieve success has no age limit! The two critical ingredients to achieve success later in life?

𝑷𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 - Purpose is what motivates us. It propels us to achieve something meaningful.

𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔𝒆𝒕 - Seeking out new ideas, recent discoveries, new skills, and others' perspectives enable us to grow and see opportunities ahead.

Many besides Joni Mitchell have realized great accomplishments later in life including:

💠 Colonel Harland Sanders - founded Kentucky Fried Chicken at 65

💠 Fauja Sing - ran his first marathon at 89 and became the first 100-year-old to run a marathon at 100

💠 Laura Ingalls Wilder - began writing Little House on the Prarie at 65

💠 Yuichiro Miura - became the oldest person to reach Mount Everest at age 80

💠 Grandma Moses - began painting in her 60's and created ~ 1500 pieces by the time she was 101, including an exhibition at MoMA

💠 Joseph Campbell - sold his first condensed soup can, tomato soup, at 78 years old

💠 Jaswant Kular - started Jaswant's Kitchen Indian Spice Blends at 60 which is now sold in more than 100 stores

💠 Carmen Hijosa - founded Ananas Anam at age 60 after developing Piatex, an eco-friendly replacement for leather

💠 John Fenn - awarded the Nobel Prize in chemistry in his mid-80s

💠 John Pemberton - invented the formula for Coca Cola at 55

Although these are big enough achievements to become publicly known, many, many, many others have celebrated late-in-life accomplishments that were personally significant.

What do you have yet to create?
